What is LILLE Winter?

The LILLE Winter program is a 2-to-3-week program, modelled on the European Summer Program and designed to give students from all over the world a unique academic and cultural experience complete with group dinners, local and regional tours, and opportunities to socialize with French students. Typically operated in January, the program offers 6 to 8 ECTS credits depending on course selection and overall number of education hours.

Introduction to Intercultural Communication module – 3 hours (for all students)


Morning Course :

French Language and Culture  (24 hours & 4 ECTS)

 

Afternoon Course :

Option 1: Introduction to French Art and Cinema (24 hours & 4 ECTS)
Option 2: World-Class Art Museums (24 hours & 4 ECTS)
Option 3: Making the Most of Diverse Teams (24 hours & 4 ECTS)

Academic Package includes:

  1. Program tuition and official transfer credit to home university
  2. All class materials provided (students should bring laptop computers)
  3. Course related field trips covering culture, history, and business:

– Bruges, Belgium (ancient commercial capital, now a tourism hotspot)
– Reims, France (Champagne tour in the city of French coronations)

 

Hospitality Package includes:

  1. Lodging in a hotel near campus (double occupancy, 2 twin beds per hotel room, ensuite bathroom)
  2. Hotel breakfast (M-F)
  3. Lunch at university (M-F)
  4. Unlimited public transportation pass in Lille
  5. Three group dinners in restaurants
