A Faculty-Led Program from the University of Alabama

From 4 to 30 May, the International Relations Office is welcoming a group of 14 students and three professors from the University of Alabama (United States) for a customized faculty-led program.

The program offers students the opportunity to discover the vibrant student life of the Université Catholique de Lille, while attending two courses in chemical engineering taught by their own faculty. Designed as a comprehensive immersive experience, participants benefit from a full hospitality package as well as a rich array of cultural activities. These have been carefully curated to help them explore French and European culture and connect with other international students.

Their schedule includes a variety of highlights. Upon arrival, students take part in a detailed orientation session, followed by a campus tour, a guided tour of Lille, and a group dinner. They also will enjoy a guided visit to the Palais des Beaux-Arts de Lille.

Beyond Lille, the program includes exciting travel opportunities. Students join nine international students from Kansai University (Japan) for a day trip to Amiens, home to one of the largest Gothic cathedrals in the world. They also take part in activities alongside over 200 students enrolled in the LILLE European Summer Program, including a networking dinner at JOST and a memorable day trip to Bruges.

In connection with their coursework, students will also have the opportunity to visit the JUNIA laboratories.

We are delighted to welcome them to our campus and wish them an enriching academic and cultural experience!
