ECOPOSS Scientific Congress

The ECOPOSS Scientific Congress ‘Between Preservation and Transformation, reinventing our world’ will take place at the Université Catholique de Lille from October 9 to 11, 2024.

The profound transformations we are collectively called to, due to the ecological and geopolitical crisis and rapid technological developments, require responses that strengthen research and exploration in a cross-disciplinary and multidisciplinary manner to debate, aid decision-making, and implement actions.

This congress is organized into 5 parallel colloquia with an interdisciplinary approach:

• Digital

Focus 1: smart cities as safe cities: theoretical, political, and legal perspectives

Focus 2: for responsible technological and digital horizons: education, health, and transitioning cities

• Geopolitics: geopolitical recompositions in a world in transition – internal network

• Society: between crises and transitions: for a complex approach to societal transformations

• Environment: to rethink networks in times of transition: ecological, energy, and social issues

• Sciences, Technosciences, and Faith: sciences, technosciences, and faith in the era of integral ecology – closed

The colloquia will be held from Wednesday, October 9 to Friday, October 11. A tour of Lille is organized by the International Relations Department of the Université Catholique de Lille on Friday afternoon (optional and by registration).
