What is LiDD Summer Camp?
We are thrilled to announce the launch of a brand-new, four-week immersive summer program created by LiDD – the School of Design of Université Catholique de Lille, in partnership with the LILLE European Summer Program (ESP).
The program combines hands-on design practice with cultural immersion in Lille, the heart of Northern France. Through local academic visits and practical studio work, participants will explore how design shapes – and is shaped by – culture, society, and place. Through interactive workshops, students will work with design tools (graphic, space, digital and object) to translate cultural observations into innovative concepts.
Learning takes place in LiDD’s 2,400 m² creative space, equipped with over 150 professional machines, where you’ll prototype ideas alongside designers and entrepreneurs. Beyond the studio, field visits, professional encounters, and cultural experiences offer an inspiring journey through the region’s heritage of industry, textiles, and living design traditions.
