7th edition of the LILLE Winter Program

From 7 January to 24 January 2026, the Université Catholique de Lille is hosting the 7th edition of the LILLE Winter Program. Organized by the International Relations Office, this two-and-a-half-week program continues our mission to strengthen relationships with partner universities and enhance internationalization on campus.

This year, we are delighted to welcome 51 students, representing 11 nationalities and 12 different universities. These participants have joined us for an immersive academic and cultural experience aimed at gaining up to 8 ECTS credits while taking courses and experiencing student life and culture in France.

The program features the academic offerings designed specifically for this program in collaboration with the University’s entities and faculties, such as CLARIFE and FGES. The courses cover a range of fields such as French Language and Culture, Liberal Arts, Business, and a newly introduced course in the field of Sustainability. In addition, all students participate in a three-hour Intercultural Communication module, organized by CLARIFE at the beginning of their stay. This module provides students with essential tools to adapt to cultural differences and communicate effectively in a multicultural academic environment.

The students’ journey at the University began with an orientation session, a campus tour, and a convivial moment centered around sharing a Galette des Rois (traditional dessert for the Epiphany). Throughout the program, students will continue to explore French and European culture through a variety of activities, including a tour of Lille, guided field trips to Bruges and Reims, and several group meals featuring regional and international cuisine.

To further support their integration into student life on campus, the Buddy System pairs LILLE Winter participants with French and international students from the University. Numerous networking events are also organized with the support of student associations and partner schools, fostering intercultural exchange.

The International Relations Office is delighted to welcome these students on campus and extends its gratitude to the various University services, faculties, and schools whose close collaboration makes this enriching academic and cultural experience possible.
