To mark the 10th edition of Erasmus Days, the Université Catholique de Lille embraced this year’s theme: “learning and thriving to unlock the talents of tomorrow.”
This theme closely reflects the University’s ambition to unlock talent, encouraging students to develop their skills, embrace other cultures and shape their own paths through hands-on experiences, particularly international experiences.

From 12 to 15 October 2026, a range of on-campus activities offered students the opportunity to discover Europe and explore the opportunities available through international mobility. Games and activities celebrating Europe, organised with the involvement of student associations ESPOL and JUNIA, encouraged students to engage and exchange ideas.
A round-table discussion also gave three students the opportunity to share their experiences abroad: two ESTICE students who had completed internships in Spain, in Ibiza and Granada, and a student from the Faculty of Law who had taken courses in Norway.
Their accounts highlighted the tangible benefits of an international experience, both personally and professionally, as well as in terms of cultural awareness. Discussions covered how to prepare for a mobility experience, which destinations were available depending on students’ degree programmes, and the language skills required. The students emphasised how such experiences could foster independence, maturity and a sense of belonging in a new environment.
Further opportunities for discussion complemented the programme, particularly around mobility grants and green mobility, alongside cultural and social activities. By bringing together information, personal accounts and opportunities to connect, Erasmus Days helped make international mobility more tangible and accessible, while highlighting the skills and qualities developed through international experiences.
Through its participation, the Université Catholique de Lille reaffirmed its commitment to European openness and to supporting its students’ personal development.
Intercultural openness is key to developing the talents of tomorrow: learning internationally also means growing in confidence, broadening horizons and unlocking potential!
