In this course, you can expect to:

–identify how mass media constructs meaning

--identify and analyze how social identities are reflected and constructed through media products

--examine new technologies—blogs, forums, website, etc.--and their affect on social organization—citizens and governments, media professionals and public, etc.

--examine the effect of the globalization of mass media

--apply your understanding by producing media products
