Before taking this course, students should have taken introductory courses on both management information systems and business.
Goal
At the end of the course, the students should be able to:

• Understand the impact of information technology upon business model
• Understand the role of information technology in organizations to gain competitive advantage
• Understand the issues in managing information technology strategically
Presentation
This course of management information systems examines the role and impact of information technology upon business model, and highlights the alignment of information technology strategy with business strategy in order for business organizations to gain competitive advantage. It explores the issues faced, the decisions made, and the approaches taken by business and technology executives for strategic purposes.
