Acquiring knowledge on the micro-organisms (bacteria, mushrooms, yeasts).
Being able to recognize them, to identify them and to control their development.
Presentation
History of what microbiology is.
Prokaryote cells: their morphology and differences compared to eukaryote cells.
Microbial nutrition, growth in enclosed environment, nutritive environments and identifications.
Destruction of germs by thermal means, with antibiotics, or chemical disinfectants.
Microbial metabolism : respiration, fermentation, glycolyze.
Bacterial classification: pathogenic bacteria in the food industry.
