Goal
- Discovery of event management jobs through the experience of a project manager in a Lille events communication consultancy.
- General overview of event management (businesses and local authorities).
- Lively presentation based on practical examples and realisations.
- Better knowledge of event management jobs in agencies.
This course develops the following professional skills:
- Understanding, analysing and interpreting one’s environment (general knowledge), including the global context.
- Designing and presenting a through-the-line communication strategy: drawing it up, presenting and defending it (being able to justify the choices made).
- Implementing a communication plan (creation, budget, follow-up).
- Learning about communication techniques, technologies and jobs.
- Being able to work with all professional partners (agencies, companies, etc.).

Consultation – the starting point:
- Consultation and call for tenders.
- From receiving the client brief to writing the strategic recommendation.
Copywriting:
- Brainstorming – the birth of creative ideas.
- The creative concept – the key to success.
- Writing a recommendation: Important rules.
- Oral presentation and business relation.
Controlling the budget and validating a project:
- Budget forecast.
- Agreement and insurance: validating a project.
- Purchase order and signature.
Event production:
- Important tools to manage the project.
- Relation with the various service providers.
- Meeting a few service providers (technical services, caterer, etc.).
Service delivery:
- Internal organisation: task assignment based on each person’s expertise.
- Set-up and operation.
- The next days: invoicing, communication and impact measurement.
Team building:
- What are incentives?
- Turnkey seminar.
- Games to strengthen the group.
Practical case study:
In groups of 4: creating a small recommendation, from the client brief to the recommendation (turned in during the next class).
