Prerequisite
In order to follow this course, students need to know the basics of English grammar in order to express themselves orally and in writing.
Goal
Growing familiar with business English in order to attain a C1 level by the end of the year.

- Expressing yourself in English about current affairs.
- Getting accustomed to listening to audio documents from professional situations, and rendering the main ideas.
- Gaining vocabulary related to the business world.
- Studying grammar more in depth in order to gradually get ready for the TOEIC test.

This course develops the following professional skills:
- Understanding, analysing and interpreting one’s environment (general knowledge), including the global context.
- Developing your personality with an emphasis on values of integrity, open-mindedness, tolerance, and respect.
- Being able to lead a team and manage projects from start to finish, including in an international context.
Presentation
- Rendering orally an audio message (taking notes).
- Expressing yourself in English about current affairs.
- Justifying your point of view about a topic in a debate.
- Writing a well-argued paragraph in a simulated situation.
- Studying grammar more in depth in order to gradually get ready for the TOEIC test.
- Studied topics, among others: media types, communication strategy, brands and products, advertising, market studies, CSR, ethics, fair trade, management, finance and globalisation.
