Présentation

Prerequisite
To follow this course, student must be able to master the basic notions in processing of digital and analog determinist signal and to know how to use the classic tools like Fourier transform and the Discrete Fourier transform. He also has to know basic notions in random signal (probability, random variables…)
Goal
At the end of the course, student must be able to:
• Know how to model an analogical or digital transmission problem.
• Master the basic techniques in communication and especially the classical parameters characterizing transmissions.
• Know the chain of digital transmission
• Know how to put in place a digital or analog modulation.
• Know how to calculate the transmission performances.
Presentation
Know how a chain of digital transmissions analyse:
• Know the characteristic parameters (flow, velocity…)
• Be able to measure the quality of the transmission (the error rate)
Know how to set up the technique of adapted transmission.
• Know how to identify the characteristics of transmission canal (noise, bandwidth…)
• Be able to choose between a baseband transmission and a modulation (digital or analog).
• Know the different types of modulation.
