Prerequisite
A fair understanding of the International Economics and Trade is strongly recommended. This class provides a very useful framework for economic analysis that is of great help to understand the course of Contemporary International Economics.
Goal
At the end of the course, the student should be able to :
- understand the role of economies of scale in the development of international trade
- understand the difference between external and internal economies of scale
- define the benefits and costs of customs duties and other tools used to implement trade policies
- identify the effects of trade agreements on international trade
