Presentation
Students work on a real consulting project. At the end of the course, they provide a concise capstone report (ppt-like) and make a group presentation. This final report draws from data (external and internal dynamic forces) and frame a current or potential business problem, define a strategic challenge and identify a business opportunity.
Students brainstorm on ideas, provide possible evidenced-based solutions and an implementation plan. They tell a data-driven story that is both descriptive and prescriptive and that addresses at least one of the following topics:
1. The growth of the firm
2. A new business model, a transformation, a platform/ecosystem, a new value proposition to customers and/or other stakeholders
3. The firm’s strategy effectiveness (different activities from those of rivals and/or similar activities to those of rivals but in different ways)
4. A CSR/Creating Shared Value project (so with both societal gains and business benefits)
In sum, the final report provides recommendations that can help the firm anticipate the future, solve or prevent a problem, adapt, grow and outperform today’s and/or future rivals.
