- Introduction to the mechanisms of evolution
- Basic microbiology (introductions to Prions, Virus and Bacteria)
- Metazoan description
- Sponges, Cnidaria, Worms (Plathyhelminths, Nemathelminths, annelids), Molluscs,
- General determination of Arthropods , followed by a more detailed description of Insects
- Echinoderm
