Présentation

Prerequisite
Mastering the mathematical tools appearing in the Preliminary Mathematical Workshops.
Goal
• To appreciate the central role played by the convolution operator in the resolution of certain differential equations.

• To notice the weaknesses of the functional point of view when dealing with signal processing as well as some ways to mitigate them.

• To learn to benefit from the complementary point of view offered by the integral transforms seen in class (Laplace and Fourier).

• To be able to deduce most results for the unified framework of time-independent linear systems together with a handful of key concepts.
Presentation
• Convolution and Dirac

• Laplace transform

• Fourier series

• Fourier transform

• Linear systems (filters)
