Goal
To be able to assess the soil suitability for a sustainable agricultural use and more particularly to be able to choose the relevant soil characteristics in order to assess a given soil for a single use within a specific environmental context.
Presentation
To know the main physical, chemical and biological mechanisms occurring into the soil and to understand how they influence the soil-plant relationships.
Soil physics:
*constituents (inorganic and organic, living organisms)
*soil structure (characterization and stability)
*water (content and dynamic)
Soil chemistry:
*soil solution (composition and exchange rules)
*pH and other physico-chemical characteristics
Soil analysis:
*main plant nutriments
*pollution
