Présentation

Goal

To allow students to express themselves artistically in many different ways around the central theme of the body in contemporary art.

Presentation

Experimenting with art, mixing theory and practice, student will come to understand the developments in how the human body has been portrayed throughout the history of art (in painting, architecture, sculpture and on stage) without neglecting those phenomena that have structured this history (the cultural context, social religious and political history, manners, progress in science and technology, the economy) in order to understand that the body has finally overstepped the limits of personal expression to become the object of artistic experimentation.


After studying the issues surrounding the human body in art, the students will brainstorm then produce several ways of exploring this theme in art.

  • Élaborer une problématique pertinente concernant le corps en arts
    plastiques
  • Savoir analyser une œuvre contemporaine (peinture, photographie,
    vidéo, performance, installation…)
  • Le savoir-faire, savoir réaliser un travail plastique abouti à
    partir d’un sujet donné et possédant une certaine qualité technique
    d’exécution
  • Savoir exposer ses recherches à l’oral grâce aux techniques
    actuelles (PowerPoint, vidéo, illustration, …)
