Goal

Day after day traditional vertical management fades into a new style of management in companies and organizations. Employees and team members expect from their manager not only to lead them as a boss but above all to share vision and sense with them as a team with their individual diversity across varied situations with agility, humanity and trust.
To value the individual and collective potential, the manager needs first to know him or herself and to understand the management skills to motivate the team and optimize his/her mission as a manager.
This course aims to provide students with an introduction to main concepts of management and motivation and the new practices of sustainable management. The course also focuses on the necessary skills of communication and the management tools to drive motivation and reach the goals.
With learning tools, case studies and group sharing, the main objectives of this course are :
1. Identify the role and the main missions and functions of the management. Also understand various management situations (team, project, professional, direct/transversal, proximity/remote)

2. Understand personal skills and soft skills for an appropriate and open communication within a diverse team or organization.

3. Familiarize students with the motivating factors : individual, collective, internal, external, motivating factors are driving each people. Identity and measure them will help the manager to mobilize and commit his/her team members into the projects.

4. Build the toolbox of the agile manager for team leading, project management and decision-making.
