Course:
- Combinational circuit analysis,
- Combinational circuit synthesis,
- Sequential circuit analysis,
- Sequential circuit synthesis,
- Understanding the architecture of a basic microcontroler,
- Master the basics of assembly programming.

Mini-project:
- Circuits analysis, component sizing with respect to specifications,
- Soldering components on a printed circuit board,
- Performing measurements on the prototype,
- Writing a test report.
Presentation
CSI3 only:
- Digital circuit analysis tools,
- Combinational circuits,
- Arithmetic circuits,
- Sequential circuits, flip-flops,
- Analysis and synthesis of finite-state machines,
- Electrical characteristics of digital circuits,
CSI3 and CIR3:
- Basic architecture of microcontrolers (ALU, memory, input-output circuits...),

Labs on microcontrolers (CSI3 and CIR3):
- Assembly programming,
- Simulation and on-board evaluation,
- The various addressing modes,
- Input-output ports,
- Processing the interrupts,
- Timers,
- Pulse width modulation based DC-motor control,
- Using the analog-to-digital converter.

Labs on FPGA (CSI3 only):
- Implementing basic digital functions on FPGA,
- Design of a finite state machine.

Mini-project (CSI3 and CIR3):
- Circuit analysis,
- Component sizing,
- Breadboarding,
- Printed circuit board assembly,
- Prototype validation.
