Prerequisite
- Physics (preparatory classes): Electrokinetics, filters 1° and 2° order
- Mathematical Tools used in Electrical and Automatic control engineering
Goal
Students are to gain knowledge in the different methods used to analyse electronic circuits, as well as physical knowledge of the electronic devices in use, and experience in the practical application of the elementary functions studied.
Presentation
Laws and theorems of electrokinetics :
- Laws of passive components
- Dipoles and quadripoles

Active components :
- Introduction to the theory of the semiconductors
- Electronic components : * The diode, the field-effect transistor, the bipolar transistor
- Linear integrated circuits: differential amplifier and operational amplifier
Electronic functions
- Basic analog functions : * The common-emitter amplifier and transistor amplification
* Active filtering, oscillators, linear power supply
- Interfacing and control circuits for power electronics

Logic circuit technology, concepts and practical application :
* Transition modes
* Heat-related issues
