Advance Your Research in a Human-Centered Environment: Host Your MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Institut Catholique de Lille

At the Institut Catholique de Lille (ICL)—a multidisciplinary university committed to humanistic values and social innovation—researchers tackle the major societal challenges of our time. With five faculties and a dynamic network of research centers and institutes, the ICL supports high-level research in fields such as law, ethics, political science, engineering, education, health, sustainability and environment, societal transitions, theology, and more.

Priority topics include the following areas. Nonetheless, the call remains open to any project relevant to the disciplines and expertise of the host research teams

  • Cities, territories and human-centered intelligent mobility.
  • Industry of the future for a positive impact on the environment and humanity.
  • Geopolitics and risks.

Researchers interested in applying for a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship (MSCA PF) under Horizon Europe are invited to consider ICL as a host institution.

Within this call for applications, we support European Fellowships (for candidates coming to ICL from another country).

Applicants may be hosted by any of our research units, provided their project aligns with ICL’s scientific priorities and available expertise.

Postdoctoral Fellows hosted at ICL will benefit from:

  • A dedicated academic supervisor from the host unit
  • Personalised support for project development and proposal writing from the Vice-Rectorate for Research and the Hub Financement
  • Administrative and financial guidance throughout the grant lifecycle
  • Access to ICL’s research infrastructure and networks
  • Integration support: mobility assistance, housing guidance, and French language resources
  • Opportunities for collaboration across faculties and with international partners
  • Involvement in ICL strategic programmes, such as Vision 2030 and SMOS-IN/OUT, where applicable

In line with MSCA eligibility rules:

  • Candidates of any nationality may apply
  • You must hold a doctoral degree (PhD) at the call deadline
  • You must not have resided or carried out your main activity in France for more than 12 months in the 36 months preceding the call deadline
  • Your research proposal must be compatible with the work of one or more ICL research centres or teams
  • Interdisciplinary and societally relevant approaches are especially welcome

We guarantee strict confidentiality of all personal data and project concepts shared with us.

To ensure sufficient support from our team, we recommend contacting us at least two months prior to the MSCA PF call launch. Early exchanges will allow us to review your eligibility, connect you with potential supervisors, and provide guidance on improving your proposal.

Successful MSCA Fellows hosted by ICL will be offered a research contract in accordance with the grant budget and French labour regulations. Conditions may vary depending on the host faculty and the project scope.
