Présentation
The goal of this course is to initiate students into scientific research in the fields of history and international relations while acquiring an in-depth understanding of international political questions from the 19th to the 21st centuries.
Understanding the environment is absolutely essential to international relations. How natural resources are managed on a planetary scale, the emergence of global environmental risks and the recent acceleration of the transition to more eco-friendly sources of power imposes new challenges on organizations, governments and NGOs. These international environmental issues are concerned with important ecological questions: pollution, managing natural resources, processing waste, water management, climate change and the longevity of the current energy production mix. The multiplicity of these issues explains the increasing involvement of actors on all levels: the individual citizen, local and regional authorities, governments, international organizations, but also businesses and financial structures.
