Goal

The development of international relations together with globalization
makes it necessary to find new ways of analyzing the current situation on the
international scene. This class means to look at major international economic
issues in a broader context by analyzing the interrelationship between
international policy and international economics so as to see understand how
power relations have changed through the years.

This class is based on an interdisciplinary approach to international
economic issues. We will thus resort to economic sciences, history,
international relations and international economic policies. Such an approach
will make it possible for students to acquire an understanding of complex
issues and take their own stand when discussing them.

In an effort to gain further proficiency in both oral and written
skills, students will actively engage in class discussions by presenting the
documents they will have read from a critical perspective.
