Goal
• To acquire the basic mathematical notions pertaining to the practice of engineers in computer science.
• To appreciate the power (and shortcomings) of abstract reasoning when it comes to answering concrete questions.
• To develop the use of computer algebra and visualization tools as a means to enhance intuition and stimulate problem-solving.
• To acquire communication skills allowing the student to explain their ideas to their peers.
