Prerequisite
In order to follow this course, students need to know the basics of English grammar in order to express themselves orally and in writing.
Goal
Growing familiar with business English in order to reach a B2 level by the end of the year.

Skills that students should acquire by the end of the course:
- Expressing yourself in English about current affairs.
- Getting accustomed to listening to audio documents from professional situations, and rendering the main ideas.
- Learning to write a well-argued paragraph based on a text.
- Gaining vocabulary related to the business world.
- Acquiring and using fundamental grammar structures.
- Attaining a B2 level (60 at the internal Bulats-type test).

This course develops the following professional skills:
- Understanding, analysing and interpreting one’s environment (general knowledge), including the global context.
- Developing your personality with an emphasis on values of integrity, open-mindedness, tolerance, and respect.
- Being able to lead a team and manage projects from start to finish, including in an international context.
Presentation
-Rendering orally an audio message (taking notes).
-Analysing a text and picking out the main information.
-Justifying your point of view about a topic in a debate.
-Writing a well-argued paragraph in a simulated situation.
-Studied topics, among others: corporate structure, organisation, motivations, working conditions, cover letters, CV, job interviews, transport, human resources.
- High-school grammar brush-up.
- New vocabulary related to the topics studied.
