Goal
Corporate communication:
- Distinguishing businesses and communication agencies.
- Recognising all the senders of a message in the professional world: business, agency, politician, local authority, association, universities, etc.
- Understanding how a business’ communication is positioned (aim, target) vs. interpersonal communication.

Internal communication:
- Distinguishing bottom-up, top-down and horizontal communication.
- Recognising various publics: other subsidiaries of the same group, partners.
- Understanding the role of the person in charge of internal communication.
- Seeing a link and telling the difference between human resources and internal communication.
- Knowing internal communication tools: Intranet, in-house magazine, in-house social network, events, coffee machine, etc.
- Finding examples (one per student) of internal communication approaches in CAC 40 companies.

External communication:
- Recognising various publics: future partners, shareholders, clients, users, financial partners.
- Knowing the different types of external communication: print media, events, press relations, public relations, multimedia, video, web, social networks, school relations, etc.
- Finding examples (one per student) of external communication approaches in CAC 40 companies.

This course develops the following professional skills:
- Identifying the main types of corporate communication.
- Debunking the myth of petits fours and stiletto heels.
- Understanding that communication is an occupation with objectives, targets, and messages.

The course is very descriptive, with as many practical examples as possible, introduced by the lecturers or by students.
Presentation
The basics of corporate communication: 1 hour ½ (1 session).
Internal communication: 4 hours ½ (3 sessions).
External communication: 4 hours ½ (3 sessions).
Recap: 1 hour ½ (1 session).
