Présentation
Tort and Contract law
This course aims at introducing the different intellectual property rights and the way they are protected by national, European Union and International law. It will also present the way in which these rights may be exploited by economic operators, subject to the respect of competition law.
After completing this course, one should:
- Have a general overview of international, European Union and French of Intellectual Property Law.
- Understand why intellectual property laws were created
- Distinguish the different concept of copyright, industrial design, patent, trademark law and what and who they protect
- Identify the legal mechanisms of enforcement of intellectual property law and the various criminal and civil remedies
- Be familiar with the various international conventions and organizations.
- Be aware of the notion of trade secret
- Know the key issues of a contract regarding an intellectual property right
- Introduction to intellectual property law

- Patents & Trade secrets

- Tutelage
Modalités
It is a course made of 6 sessions and 1 tutelage. The sessions will onclude :
- lectures
- cases studies
- studies of court décisions
- topical issues
The student has to learn the lectures. He must prepare at home and participate during the course in the activities (cases studies…)
