The students must remember what they learnt in first year in the course "Economics of Globalisation"

Objectifs

• Going further in the study of economics started in 1st year


• Focusing on money, finance and financial systems


At the end of this course, the student should be able to understand financial economics

o An introduction to money and the financial system


o Money and payment system


o Financial instruments, financial markets and financial institutions


o Future value, present value and interest rate


o Understanding risk


o Bonds bond prices and the determination of interest rates


o The risk and term structure of interest rates


o Stock markets


o Derivatives: future options and swaps


o Foreign exchange


o Central bank balance sheet and the money supply process

Modalités

Modalités d'enseignement

• Non-legal matter: general culture

• Practical exercises: each session and at home. Students can check whether they understood and are able to put concepts into practice.

• Prepare the students who want to join a Business School or our “Business Law and Management” program

• The courses and presentations of each subject rely on Powerpoint presentations. The slides are then sent to the students so they can use them to study for the exam
