Elementary chronology (from Ancient Greece to Napoleonian era)
The purpose of this lecture is to point and put into context the emergence of Law, in Antiquity and follow its development through to Napoleonian codifications. This approach will be supported by the observation of the evolutions of the sources of law (legislation, custom, judicial activity, jurisprudence or legal science) and the influence of important philosophical doctrines.
