OBJECTIVE

Give students an insight into some French characteristics and different families of arts.

CONTENT

The students will learn about important aspects in French cultural life, in regards to fine arts, movies, fashion, food & cuisine. The course shows and illustrates examples from various decades which were and are important, permitting France to influence world culture in many domains.

EDUCATIONAL METHODS

Lectures and discussions in class.
4 Sessions of 3 hours + a conference at the European Parliament in Brussels + visits to museums + personal work.
A class of maximum 25 students for a more interactive teaching.

A written final exam + participation in class
