COURSE CONTENT

CONTACT HOURS

48 contact hours for ESP 1 and ESP 2 General.
40 contact hours for ESP 1 Science and Engineering Program.

LEVEL

Intermediate to Advanced

OBJECTIVE

Strengthen the grammatical and syntactic structures and adquire new ones

CONTENT

3 hours of class 4 days a week
30 min. to 1 hour of personal work per day

LISTENING

Listening and understanding of original texts with increasing difficulty, radio news, songs.

Exercises to practice the use of grammatical structures.

Phonetic practice

SPEAKING

One presentation in French to be  made.

Speaking in front of a group.

READING

Understanding authentic texts in French

WRITING

Practice of the use of tenses and connections.

 GRAMMAR

Tenses, moods, uses. Personal pronouns and relative pronouns.

ASSESSMENT

Regular assessment + written exam awarding a certificate at the end of the program.

PRE-REQUISITE

Level B1 recommended (see the assessment grid of the Council of Europe)
