General overview- Presentation
For the last 16 years ISTC has has been training students for careers in company communications. In addition to tits "Communication executive" diploma, the school has signed an agreement with the State Littoral Coast of Opal University, to award two nationnally recognized degrees at Bachelors and Masters Levels. In addition, the recognition of the School by the State, allows 20% students to take advantage of state grants. The ISTC is: a pragmatic and recognized program, a good learning environment, a dynamic teaching staff, personnalized tutoring, a privileged environment, a internationally orientated programm. The ISTC is part of Lille Catholic University of whose values and world of skills it shares. The combination of these areas of knowledge makes this network a permanent source of human and intellectual enrichment. - Specifics

-The title of Communications Executive is awarded by ISTC. - Bachelor's of Economics and Business -Master in Economics and Business, with specialisation in International Business and Economic Engineering. Specialisation in International Business, awarded by the Université du Littoral Côte d’Opale (State University).
Conditions for graduation : validation of university credits required on the course.
Course outlineEnriching the teaching of communications through multi-disciplinary course including psychology, marketing, and systems analysis. This allows the creation of a solid general knowledge and develops great adaptability. The lectures given by professionals, the internships and projects bring to the program over the three years the skills and knowledge necessary for rapid integration into a company or agency.The objective of the last two years is to acquire a strategique level in the function of communication. Human Resources, Transactional analysis, the international system,...make up the specialized communications courses.
The goal: to train future company executives, in all territorial divisions, able to think and execute strategies of communication. - First year
During the first two years at ISTC, the students will acquire basic knowledge which will become essential throughout their professional career.
In first year, the training includes disciplines associated with corporations (General Economics and Companies, management, marketing, contract law, data processing…). Two modules “current events in economics” and “arousing curiosity” opens up the world and helps to develop thinking and analytic skills.
The fields related to the communication are standard: oral communication, workshop of written expression, systemic analysis , personal developmen, etc…
Taking into account the importance attached to international scene, three languages are studied in the first year. Each student, while continuing the study of the English language, has the choice between Spanish and German as a second foreign language and between Beginner's Chinese, Arabic, Dutch, Italian and Spanish for the third foreign language.
At the same time, the student takes part in a one week seminar on communications in order to carry out a project whose objectives are to encourage personal responsibility and teach about operation of companies.
The academic year ends with a 2-month internship.

- Second year
The second year is a continuation of the first.
In addition to the fields of business organizations, the field of communications is approached through modules: history of the press and the media, communications theory, creativity and sociology workshops. An important place is reserved for the learning of general culture and for personal development of the student.
The training in foreign languages is pursued. The introduction to the international system is characterized by the possibility to spend the second semester abroad.

- Third year
The beginnning of the year stars with a seminar that introduces students to Computer-assisted Programming, the Internet, and other tools of communication. This introdcution continues through the first semester via the disciplines making it possible to acquire the basic techniques of communications and produce communication aids.

Simultaneously, the study of business organizations is studied over 1 or 2 semesters: .English as a Foreign Language, .Business and Management .Marketing .Communications Law. Throughout the year, more general modules studied: .Geopolitics .Science of Communication (psychoanalysis, psychology, social psychology, ethics).
To fulfill the school's vocation, students must execute a communication project during two semesters. This project requires manegerial , organisational, and financial skills, and makes it possible for each one to develop his preferences, sense of business organization, and personal growth.
During the second semester, outside contributors help the students become better acquainted with a profession or a branch of industry and introduces the necessary expertise useful for their internship.
The internship is from May to July. Lasting three months, it allows the student to discover the world of the communication in and its unique role in the coming future;

- Fourth year
The first year of Master studies helps the student combine all his learned assets from Undergraduate studies to be able to apprehend the strategic aspects company communication. The objective is to develop the student’s curiosity, thinking, analysis, and synthesizing skills. This gradually brings the student from the production of communication tools to the actual design and development of a communication strategy.
This aspect is reinforced by some strategic seminars on the topics of communications. The module “Média Planning” permits the students to better apprehend the world of media, to understand how it operates and to work out a strategy. At the same time, courses of related to the topic of companies are taught: Financial communication, marketing, communication law, and English. During this semester, other subject matters are also taught: geopolitics, [semiology] of moving images. The students also take part in a seminar of Transactional Analysis and Neuro-Linguistics Programming.A 4-month “in-depth” internship beginning in January, aims at placing the student in a strategic “pre-professional” setting. It attests to the student’s operational skills useful to his future professional career. At the end of the internship, the student returns to the ISTC for 2 more months. During this period, the stress is placed on professional case studies: seminars on human resources, occupational psychology, and Multimedia. Lastly, the module entitled “intercultural Communication” prepares students for one semester the international aspects scheduled to be taught during the second year of Master studies.

- Fifth year
The first year in second year Masters is devoted to the international systems. From September to December the student benefits from a setting that requires personal commitment. The student has the choice between a university exchange or a paid job. A clearly defined humanitarian project can also be accepted. Second Semester: the training aims to supplement the student’s international experience by widening his knowledge of cultural differences. It also unites all his assets so that he is able to conceive and to implement the communications strategies in harmony with the overall strategies of companies. Aspects of management and human resources are integrated into the program. Specialized but optional lessons prepare them for the labour market. The teaching is broken down to three modules. The first two modules place a stress on international communication, company communication and management. The third module, which is optional, enables them to specialize in internal communication, public relations, direct marketing, design and drafting or entrepreneurship. For the end of studies internship the student carries out a finalized mission project. A certain level of autonomy enables him to express, in addition to his technical skills, his capacity to implement a strategy of communication in harmony with the specific structure and type of management of a company. It’s meant to be true beginning into the labor market. The end of studies written assignment dealing with problems in communications concludes the student’s training.
