Objectifs du cours

The course aims to complete students' knowledge in digital economy. It especially emphasizes on the central role of the information as well as the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) impacts and major challenges on our societies and economies. The course aims to provide students with detailed elements necessary for an understanding of the challenges of the digital world for governments, companies and individuals: impacts of ICT on our societies, dominant role of the information, transformation of the economy in all its key processes: innovation, production, communication, distribution, consumption ...

- Central role of the information leading to a profound evolution of our societies and economies
- Consequences of that revolution
- ICT: what does it mean?
- Understanding Millenials and their main expectations
- Impacts and challenges of the digital disruption analyzed from 8 different angles: Technology (Cloud computing, IoT, Big Data…)l, Information and knowledge (ICT: new testing ground for innovative teaching formats for the transmission of knowledge), Economy (Internet contributions to sectors using it attempting to connect the performance of these sectors to their Internet use), Digitalization (Development of new consumption patterns), Regulation (People & Regulation / Policies should evolve to adapt to a more connected society), Human (Permanent connection reconfigures spaces and times: private and family life, professional life, social life + health impacts), Social (Social media, Private life and digital identity new social connections), Organizational (Changes in company organization, effects of globalization).
