Objectifs du cours

At the end of the course, the student should be able to :
The objective of this course is to make you knowledgeable about issues and opportunities in change management, to give you instruments to analyze the obstacles and to decide how to approach them, so to be able to act as an effective change manager in your future company.
The first part of the course focuses on understanding of change itself, of where resistance to change might come from, and how to diagnose problems that organizations might face when implementing new technologies or other type of change interventions. The second part of the course focuses on solutions and best practices in change interventions

Contenu du cours

We will organize the class around five main teams

1. Understanding change: we will discuss, to acquire the sensibility to accept that change is a big challenge, at both personal and organizational level, but that it can be managed.
2. Diagnosing the change context: we will work together using models that can make us detect the biggest difficulties that managers and team face during change programs, but also lead us to understand what is the best way to act on them.
3. Planning the change intervention: we will focus on practical actions, to help you understand that although change is a constant challenge and it affects various levels (personal, cultural, organizational), it is important to respond to it in a practical way.
4. Communication and change; managing resistance: In the final part of the class, we will discuss the capabilities that managers and organization needs to develop in order to become more agile and better ready to face change.
5. Leading and managing continuous change: what are the competences that managers need to have to lead successful change programs?
