Objectifs du cours

-Acquire the tools and competencies for managing time and resources and lead projects effectively in the fashion industry (AOL)
- discuss the advantages and disadvantages of being an entrepreneur in the fashion industry; list useful competencies required for entrepreneurship
- personally evaluate if this is a viable career option for them
- describe the social/political/cultural/economic environment conditions which are conducive to entrepreneurship
- outline the first steps involved in starting a fashion business (recount the basic principles of the lean start up model)

Contenu du cours

1. Who is the (fashion) entrepreneur ? (Are entrepreneurs born or made? Entrepreneurial traits and competencies/ Fashion Entrepreneurs Traits/skills)

2. Where does the (fashion) entrepreneur thrive? (The Entrepreneurial Environment - environmental conditions for fashion entrepreneurs : societal/ cultural, economic, political, technological conditions/ stakeholder analysis/ avoiding pitfalls / incubators and networking)

3. What is an opportunity? Defining opportunities; business value and competitive advantage; the lean start up model

4. Administrative procedures: business status and legal decisions; sources of finance; acquiring funding
