Learning outcomes

Strategy, an enterprise more than a science, is a practice. With this perspective, the main objective of this course is to add to the theoretical concepts learned previously. Before students enter the real world, it is necessary to translate theoretical thinking into action.

Keywords

Will and strategic vision, strategic decision, implementation strategy, strategizing with various business partners.

Course description

Part I: Learn the skills.

a. Introductory session for two hours, putting theoretical knowledge in relation to current business issues, objectives, method of work proposed, into perspective.

b. 6 three hour sessions, each comprising three distinct modules:

- A strategic sectoral study.
- A major theme in strategy.
- Key factors of success and strong signals and weak signals from a particular industry.

Part II: Make strategy, case studies.

5 two hour case studies, on different strategic issues and on different industries.

The methodology used to practice the strategic decision making is as follows:

- Wills officer.
- Trade of the company.
- Internal analysis.
- External analysis.
- Highlighting the strategic issue.
- Strategic decision.
- Implementation of the strategy.

Total hours of instruction: 30 hours. Part I, "From theoretical to practical" includes 20 lessons, and Part II, "Making strategy, case studies, includes 10 hours of case studies.

Assessment

The evaluation system includes three marks, two tests: one on the research done in Part I, the other on student intervnetion in Part 2 strategic case studies, and a third mark for the final exam.
