The cultural project is an important part of our mission which includes : education, research and service to society. |
Through a variety of events (conferences, debates, workshops, concerts, exhibitions…), we seek to touch the to the heart, mind and soul : culture is offered and experienced as an opportunity to learn more about both ourselves and other people, a source of enrichment and wonder. |

The University cultural season 2005-2006 is intended for the general public: from students in the framework of their studies, to teachers and administrative staff, also people who are not directly linked with the university, including businesses... People from different backgrounds, generations and points of view contribute to the diversity of our cultural programme, making it possible to establish dialogue and contribute to opening the university to the city, the region and the Euroregion.
Always relevant and seeking to explore the themes which concern our society, the Vauban Cultural Centre is happy to bring you various new lecture series in 2005-2006.
AN ABSOLUTE MUST! : Don’t miss our exciting new series on family ethics, Egyptology, Jean-Paul Sartre, Science, or poetry with the author Colette Nys-Mazure... The schedule and cost have been revised in order to allow everyone to come and listen!
For workshops, conferences and special events, we continue with great pleasure to collaborate with regional cultural organisations, including opportunities to attend rehearsals with the Lille National Orchestra; a theatre workshop and the Théâtre du Nord’s audience seminars; not to mention guided tours and other projects with the Lille Metropole Museum of Modern Art... Other ideas will be explored during the year.
Finally, Lille Catholic University, a committed and supportive University, will organise throughout the year big debates on "Current Affairs" and meetings with well-known national figures.
Looking forward to seeing you.
Thank you for your support.
